In my point of view, Shikata’s work are exceptional to the extent that, despite their popular aspect, they manage to portray indeed human sentiment in is poetic and complex mystical communion with the nature. She almost looks the school better known as Ukiyo-e, whose members included Hokusai, Hiroshige, Utamaro, Harunobu, Sharaku, Kunisada and Moronobu, among others. All the best!
